1. 1.About these terms

   These terms apply when you use the Tongue website, send us a request or book an interpreter through Tongue Global (“Tongue”, “we”, “us”).

   Interpreters who work with Tongue agree to separate interpreter terms.

2. 2.Our service

   Tongue arranges human interpreting and local guidance, on-site or online. A request sent through the website is not a booking: a booking exists only after you have approved a quote and paid.

   Interpreters provide language support. They do not give legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.

3. 3.Quotes and bookings

   Your quote shows the service, date and time, expected duration, location, price, transport and extra-time rules, and the cancellation terms. Please check it carefully before you confirm.

   Extra time beyond the booked duration is charged as described in your quote, if the interpreter can stay.

4. 4.Prices and payment

   Prices are shown in your quote. Payment is taken by card through our payment provider when you confirm your booking.

   We record payments, refunds and interpreter fees separately, and keep the records required by law.

5. 5.Changes and cancellations

   Changes and cancellations follow the terms in your quote and our Cancellation & refund policy. Please tell us about any change as early as possible.

6. 6.Your responsibilities

   Please give us accurate information about the appointment, tell us about any specialist terminology in advance, and provide a safe, respectful environment for the interpreter.

7. 7.Liability

   We take care to match you with a suitable interpreter. To the extent permitted by law, Tongue is not liable for decisions you or others make based on an interpreted conversation, or for indirect losses.

8. 8.Changes to these terms

   We may update these terms. The version that applies to a booking is the one in force when you confirmed it.
