Privacy & KVKK notice

Scope: customer enquiries for interpretation and local guidance in Türkiye, including enquiries from Dubai/UAE.

1. 1.Data controller

   TONGUE TURİZM SAĞLIK GAYRİMENKUL DANIŞMANLIĞI ANONİM ŞİRKETİ, trading as Tongue Global, is the data controller. Address: Bulgurlu Mahallesi, Tuğba Sokak No:14 D:9, Üsküdar / İstanbul, Türkiye. MERSİS: 0850075138800001. Privacy contact: info@tongueglobal.net.

2. 2.What we collect and how

   The enquiry form collects your name, email address, WhatsApp number, language pair, city in Türkiye, type of appointment, appointment dates and anything you add in the optional “Details” field. When you submit the form, your enquiry is emailed to Tongue and a copy is sent to your email address.

   When you visit the website, our hosting provider records technical information needed to run and secure the site, including IP address, browser and device information, the page requested, and the date and time.

   We also use Vercel Web Analytics. It does not use cookies. It records pages visited, including any UTM parameters, the referring website, country, browser, operating system and device type. According to the current configuration, Vercel Web Analytics does not store your IP address or track you across websites.

   Please do not send passport copies, health records or other sensitive documents in an initial enquiry. If a confirmed assignment requires additional documents, we will first explain the specific purpose, legal basis, recipients, secure submission method and applicable retention period.

3. 3.Purposes and legal grounds

   We process necessary contact and assignment information to respond to your enquiry, assess your requirements, prepare a quotation and arrange a confirmed service. Where applicable, processing is based on the legal grounds available under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), including processing necessary to establish or perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, establish or protect legal rights, and pursue legitimate interests subject to the required balancing assessment.

   Submitting an enquiry allows us to reply about your request; it does not subscribe you to unrelated promotional communications.

4. 4.Service providers, recipients and international transfers

   Where necessary for your requested service, relevant contact and assignment details may be shared with the assigned interpreter and authorized Tongue personnel.

   The website currently uses the following service providers: Vercel Inc. (USA) for hosting, form processing and web analytics; Resend, Inc. (USA) for sending enquiry emails; and Purelymail (USA) for hosting Tongue’s email inbox. WhatsApp (Meta) is used only if you choose to contact us through WhatsApp. The website currently does not use a CRM, a third-party form service or an online payment provider.

   These technology providers may process or make data accessible outside Türkiye. International transfers are subject to the applicable requirements of KVKK Article 9 and other applicable law. Necessary records may also be disclosed to competent authorities or professional advisers where required by law or for the establishment, exercise or protection of rights.

5. 5.Retention and security

   Enquiry information that does not result in a booking is normally retained for up to 6 months after the last interaction, unless a longer period is required for a legitimate legal, security or dispute-related reason.

   Operational records relating to completed bookings may normally be retained for up to 2 years after completion of the service, unless a longer period is required for legal claims or another lawful obligation. Invoices, accounting and tax records are retained for the statutory period required under applicable Turkish law.

   Sensitive documents are collected only when necessary for a confirmed assignment and are retained only for as long as required for that specific purpose or an applicable legal obligation. When the lawful basis for continued retention ends, personal information is deleted, destroyed or anonymized in accordance with applicable requirements.

   Access is restricted to people who need the information for the relevant service or function. Tongue applies appropriate technical and administrative safeguards to protect the information it processes.

6. 6.Marketing communications

   The current Dubai enquiry form does not subscribe you to optional marketing. If Tongue introduces optional promotional communications in the future, the relevant channel and permission will be presented separately, and refusing or withdrawing that choice will not affect your service enquiry.

7. 7.Cookies and tracking

   The website, in its current configuration, does not use cookies, advertising pixels or third-party tracking tools. Vercel Web Analytics is used without cookies as described above. If Tongue introduces cookies, advertising pixels or additional tracking tools in the future, this notice will be updated and any required user controls will be implemented before those tools are enabled.

8. 8.Your rights and requests

   Under KVKK Article 11, you may request information about whether and how your personal data is processed, the purposes and recipients of processing, correction of inaccurate data, deletion or destruction where the statutory conditions are met, notification of certain actions to recipients, objection to certain solely automated outcomes, and compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing, subject to the conditions of applicable law.

   For privacy questions, contact info@tongueglobal.net. A formal KVKK application may be submitted using a method permitted by the applicable application rules. We verify identity proportionately and respond within the period required by law.

9. 9.UAE customers and updates

   Where UAE data-protection law applies to a customer or processing activity, additional rights or requirements may also apply. Your nationality does not remove protections applicable to Tongue’s processing in Türkiye. We will display the current version and effective date of this Notice and communicate material changes where required.
